Beats for Love Festival adds another giant name to its line up for 2023! Canadian artist Joel Zimmerman, known to all dance music fans under his pseudonym Deadmau5, is heading to the Czech Republic after 14 long years. He is thus included next to already announced stars such as Hardwell and Tiësto, and thus the Ostrava festival of electronic dance music confirms its promises of the strongest line-up in its history!

“We've been trying to get Deadmau5 for a few years now, which is pretty normal with these names, and we're thrilled to have it happen this year. It's not every day that you get to bring a name of his size to Ostrava, to a Czech festival," festival director Kamil Rudolf confirms what a big sensation it is! Deadmau5 is a Canadian DJ, producer and musician who has been regularly ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs since 2008 and was ranked at 65th position in 2022. He is responsible for the legendary tracks such as 'I Remember', 'Raise Your Weapon', 'Ghost N Stuff' or the most recent 'Monophobia'. One of the biggest electronic artists is heading to the Czech Republic after 14 long years, as this is his festival premiere here in our little country. Among other things, he also has a new joint project Kx5 together with another star Kaskade.

However, the Ostrava festival has announced many other names over the past month, and so at the beginning of July we are honored to bring English DJ and producer James Hype, who is one of the biggest house names of today, or the first and for now only Grammy Award winner from Kazakhstan, Imanbek, whose compositions currently belong to the the most played things on radios around the world or on the Spotify platform. Both will then perform on the main festival stage. Drum and bass star Wilkinson will also perform on the same stage this year. "We decided to invite him this year as well, because his performance last year was phenomenal and we definitely had to take the fans' feedback into account in this case," comments Rudolf on this name.

But the stars are also heading to other festival stages! For example, you can see the great Luke Slater and Perc from the UK or Oscar Mulero from Spain at the Techno stage. Future stage will be dominated by the Dutch Tinclicker, who belong to the main names of the publishing house Anjunadeep or their compatriot Zonderling. But that's not all on the Future stage, because the trance duo from Germany, Cosmic Gate, who are among the best names in the world in their style, will also perform this year! "We are really happy that we managed to bring big names not only to the Love stage, but also to the genre stages of the festival, which we definitely want them to be top-notch and to push their quality further forward. Thanks to this, the festival is perfectly balanced and everyone can find what suits them the most," program director Jiří Ramík explains the festival strategy.

New names were also announced for the Harder styles stage, Breakbeat stage and Drum & Bass stage. Fans were waiting so long for BillX from France to perform at the Harder styles stage, as he was unfortunately unable to arrive last year due to strikes at the airports in France. Lady Waks will perform at Breakbeat stage, returning to the festival after 6 years. The essential Drum & Bass stage will then welcome the best D&B DJ on the planet A.M.C from Great Britain, his compatriots The Prototypes and the New Zealand duo State of Mind. "This year, the Drum & Bass stage will have the largest number of foreign stars in its history, so fans of broken beats definitely have something to look forward to," says marketing director Matyáš Ožana.
