The Beats for Love festival has released the first phase of foreign stars for the 2023 edition, and the organizers have once again hinted that they are aiming even higher than in previous years. The legendary Dutch producer and DJ Tiësto, who has been at the top of the dance scene for more than 30 years, is heading to Ostrava for the first time! There will also be names such as Sigma, Netsky and Mark Knight or the current huge talent of electronic music Apashe with his live show.
"Tiësto is a name that has long been one of the most requested performers among our fans and dance music fans in general, and we are thrilled that we have finally managed to book him for our festival," comments festival director Kamil Rudolf, the biggest name of the upcoming year so far. Tiësto, whose real name is Tijs Verwest, comes from the Dutch city of Breda and currently lives in Las Vegas, USA. The newly 54-year-old producer has been in the top 100 of the most popular DJs in the world since 2000, occupied the TOP 10 position for 18 years and dominated this poll 3 times in total! Tijs collaborates with stars such as Rita Ora, Diplo, Martin Garrix or Don Diablo and became famous thanks to such songs as 'Adagio For Strings', 'Beautiful Things' with Andain, 'Flight 643', 'C'Mon' with Diplo and the current 'The Business' or 'Secrets'.
But the organizers of the festival have announced far more names than just this superstar within the last month and a half. In 2023, the Sigma project, which conquered the main stage of the festival 5 years ago, the Belgian hitmaker Netsky, the English drum & bass queen Koven, the popular duo Blasterjaxx from the Netherlands or the French duo Dirtyphonics with a brand new live show won’t be missing! "Every year we would like to bring more electronic live performances to Ostrava, because we listen to the feedback from our fans, who seem to like it very much. That's also why we decided to invite Dirtyphonics again, who performed at our festival 6 years ago, but this year they will perform a new show. On the other hand, the premiere will be held by the huge talent of electronic music from Canada, Apashe, who will perform here exclusively with the brass section of the orchestra," Rudolf explains the selection of performers for the upcoming year.
There are more music stars that will also perform on other stages of the festival, and fans can look forward to artists such as The Upbeats from New Zealand or the British Audio on the Drum & Bass stage or the father of house music Mark Knight from England on the Evropa 2 House square. The popular project Da Tweekaz will arrive at the hardest “Harder stage”, and the Reggae 2 Jungle stage will host, for example, Ragga Twins or MC Spyda, who sang the iconic track Tarantula by Pendulum. This year's list of music stages will no longer include the EDM & Trance stage, as the organizers have decided to rename it the Future stage. "The renaming took place because the specific styles in the name of the stage have already started to limit us in the booking of the artists. This year we would like to diversify from these genres a bit. We see it as a big step forward and we believe that the fans, after seeing the complete line up of this stage, will definitely appreciate it," comments Marketing Director Matyáš Ožana on one of the first major changes for 2023. Jody Wisternoff and Bexxie have been announced for the already mentioned stage, but fans of genres and subgenres such as progressive, trance or bass house and EDM can soon be surprised by other big names.
Currently, Beats for Love organizers sell standard full-festival tickets, full-festival VIP tickets, tickets to Love camp and Love village, as well as parking both at the festival and at individual camps.
