Gavin King, known globally as Aphrodite, is a living legend and one of the unshakable pillars of drum and bass history. As the “King of the Jungle,” he defined the sound of the 90s and was instrumental in the birth of the jump-up subgenre. His Urban Takeover label (co-founded with Mickey Finn) produced tracks that became anthems for generations. Aphrodite’s style is unmistakable—blending hip-hop energy, rolling jungle breaks, and massive basslines that still command the dancefloor with the same raw power decades later.
